Question about oils....

looking thourgh my snowblower manual, there are a couple different parts that take 10W and 30W oil....can i use 5W30 or 10W30 on these parts or do i need oil that just says 10w or 30w??

External parts? Sure, go ahead. On the parts that are labeled #30, just do those a little more often. You aren't going to hurt a thing.

the Auger gear case says it takes S.A.E. 30W (or equivalent) and the Idler Pully Arms pivot points and a couple bearings take S.A.E. 10W (or equivalent)

You better stick with #30 in the gear case. I thought we were talking about external parts only. As for the other stuff, your 5w30 or 10w30 is ok.
