OUR HAYBINE WILL PLUG ON THE RIGHT SIDE AFTER JUST A SHHORT PERIOD OF USE IN ANY HAY NOTHING I DO HAS CURED ==NEW KNIVES -GUARDS -AND MORE -HAY APPEARS TO START TO BACK UP ON THE SHIELD AND THEN GET IN BETWEEN THE LOWER ROLLER AND THE BAR IN FRONT OF IT AND WULL STOP THE MACHINE=HAY APPEARS TO BE CUT AND CONDITIONED =SHIELD IS ROUGH BUT HAY FALLS OFF IT FOR A TIME UNTIL IT BACKS UP --help==

What I can remember about the NH on my folks farm might help. If you backed into something and bent the shield it will do that. Pull "out"the bottom of the shield. A small bend or if you have the discharge to one side the grass slows down. In heavy grass it will plug. If it is real rough, remove the shield and use a disk sander with 160 or extra fine grit paper and make it as smooth as possible. Another problem is that the rubber starts to pull away from the metal roller. Now you got REAL BIG troubles. Also check to see if the rollers have an even space between them. They MUST be perfect all of the way across! You might have a sealed bearing going bad and the gap changes. Also take a REAL big flat bar and stick it between the rollers. See if you can pry them apart with the same pressure and space. Everything must be even. See if any help. Jeffcat
