Loctite Teflon pipe sealant comes in a small tube. It is like Teflon tape, only liquid. Use it all over with good relults.

Depends on if you are talking rubber hose connection to a barbed fitting, a double flare tube fitting, a pipe thread fitting, or a straight thread gasketed face / 'O'-ring seal fitting. For double flare fittings they have copper conical washers which fit between the tube flare end and the mating brass or steel fitting to restore the seal. For a rubber hose to barbed fitting I have always used clear nail polish to glue the two together. Pipe threads in good condition use teflon tape and place it back from the leading edge to the male fitting so it does not shear off and float down stream to cause trouble. Straight thread fittings require a new seal gasket / washer or 'O'-ring to regain the seal.

Permatex # 1 or # 2 depends on if you want hardening or non hardening.

The fittings or tube ends are out of round and won't seal. Replace them with new.

Amen. Why not just repair it rather than wait for ga$oline to leak all over the hot engine?

Have you ever tried to get a pipe thread sediment bowl to lime up where you need it and not be loose and one more round was going to break something ? This is where the hardening permatex (#1 I think)works real good.Put it where you need it and let it harden and it seals it up.
