After many questions being answered for me in this forum on selecting a good arc welder, I thought I would post an update. I purchased a Lincoln 225 ac/dc buzz box. After installing service by using #6 wire, I made the following changes to the welder. I added 35 ft. of #2 lead wire by using tweeco connnectors, and added a tweeco electrode holder. Got a good deal and the total cost for the additional wire and electrode holder was around $40.00 The welder shows no sign of amp drop and I have been totally satisfied with this setup. It is smooth welding in both the ac and dc side and I find the dc side to be the most frequently used. (doing a lot of farm welding ) This is a great welder for the money, thanks to all who helped me in making a good choice !!!
