Thanks for the note. It is always nice to hear from someone else that is interested in Metalwork. About a year ago I purchased a 110v inverter DC welding machine that welds as good as a normal welding machine. It is 6 pounds and it is amazing. I never thought they could make a DC welding machine the plugs into 110v plugin and could weld a 1/8 7018 rod. I usually use 3/32 7018 rod and also 6011 rod for tack welding parts for fit up. I also bought a TIG torch from Harbor Frieght for really cheap $29.00 and converted it to do TIG welding with Argon gas so I can now weld very thin steel and stainless steel. The great thing about having a 110v inverter welder is anyone can use one in their garage. There have been lots of those AC buzz box 110v welders, but they don't work very well, but this is a true DC welding machine. Drop me an email and I can send you photo of some of the things I have made. I also made my own metal roller machine for about $15 in parts and metal from a scrap yard. I can send you a photo and you would be able to make it. I'm sure you have lots of equipment, but half the fun is make your own items and then making artwork using those tools. The roller is great because once you can put arcs in metal the designs just come alive in your head.
