14hp Briggs

I have a 14hp Briggs Vanguard engine on a mower and the exhaust valve guide on one cylinder works its way out. This causes the valve spring retainer to contact the guide and bend or break the push rod. I had this problem last year and I taped the guide back into position and staked around it with a punch. This worked until now, its did it again. Any ideas? Other than to replace the head? I also put LocTite sleeve retainer on the guide. But I think the clearence is too snug to do any good and also gets too hot for it to help.

See if you can get a new guide. If not replace the briggs with a honda.
