Got this today at a reunion auction. Guy bought it at a flea market. As best we can make out on one side it was stamped -- before some doofus got it too close to a grinder -- B F GOODRICH. It functions like a ratchet -- reversible -- for the hex drive it has. I'm not thinking this is meant for a lot of torque -- one guy suggested tightening down tire valves? I dunno. Anyone else seen one like this, got one, or can tell me how it was used?

It hit me that another may exist -- there's one on e-bay -- but a shorter handled version with a larger socket diameter

B.F. Goodrich was the the first tubless tire on the market. That wrench could very well be for installing valve stems. If I remember right they used a metal stem with rubber washer/gasket's with a nut.

Could it be a ratcheting die handle. Most dies are hex shaped and it would sure be handy.

I should have expressed an element of scale -- its about 10-12" long -- the opening on the ratcheting part would probably support a half-inch hex -- maybe a little less.
