Pressure washer/ Sandblaster?

has anyone ever tried one of these sandblaster attachements for thier pressure washer its like a siphon feed attachment that goes at the end of the want of the gun, I seen them at northern tool for 18.00, just wondering if anyone tried one out. I think 1600psi mixed with sand would strip fast donno though.

I tried one on a 2400 psi 3gallons a minute and it didn"t work. I then used it on my 8 gallon a minute at 24 psi and it worked good. Be aware they will use 700lbs of sand per hour so plan on a lot of sand.

I bought one of the Northern Tool ones but it was about $60. I use it on a 4gpm/3500psi washer and it is impressive the way it strips paint and rust. The sand inlet wants to be up on the wand to keep water from dribbling down into it and glomming up the sand. Put the sand bag in a garbage pail and poke the pick up through the bag. No need to dump out the sand. Get a tyvek suit with hood and wear googles, gloves and boots. You will be covered in bounce back sand. It uses a lot of sand. I use black beauty sand.
