Has anyone used an air powered floor jack? It gets harder and harder to get down on my knees on concrete to position my floor jack (old 4 ton Walker garage jack) under the car, and then back up to run the handle, then back down to see where the jack is positioned, and then back up to pump the handle. How does it work? How does it hold up? It seems to me if I could get on the floor, then activate the air to raise the jack to the required position, I would save a lot of effort.

I used the one they sell at Sam's Club to change a tire on a 6,000 lb. forklift. Worked fine, and cost about $50.

I bought an air/hydralic engine hoist from Northern. It is great as you can stand by the engine as you raise it to help guide it, and then use the manual pump for fine tuning.

I recently got a hydrolic/air jack. my only complaint is why did I wait so long. I hardly use any of my other jacks anymore. I don't know how the hydrolic part works. Shoot thats why I got the air jack.

I've got an air jack that is a "pillow" type. It is the same kind used to move Mobile Homes. It is about 24" square. It will lift and hold my truck off the ground forever (do block it though, never trust ANY jack). Just hook a short hose to it with a vale, and shoot it full! Works great - now if I could just get it back from my nephew ..... .

I had 2 in my last shop. 5 and a 10 ton, both Lincoln's. Both wonderful jacks, never had a problem with them. As for quality, there probably middle of the road. Cheaper than Snap-On, and more than a Blackhawk. good luck.
