Homelite weed eater

I need some help here. I was given a Homelite Bandit weed eater from a neighbor. It wasn"t working right, so I tinkered with it and found that the fuel line was crimped. So, I replaced the fuel line but it still isn"t running right. They didn"t have the manual for it so I"m wondering if maybe they didn"t put in the right fuel mix. Does anyone know what the ratio or mix is for this type of weed eater? Thanks

I use a half-pint of 2 cycle oil in a gallon of gas, and never have any problems with lock-ups! They smoke a bit, but no lock-ups! yeah, i know, thats not the correct mixture, but i work on a bunch of different machines, so best to be safe, not sorry! I have used those little bottles of "any fuel/gas mix" oil, and they seem to work o.k. Never had any problems with it! Just mix one little bottle of product into a gallon of gasoline, and yer good to go! Rustyj14

Should be marked on the engine somewhere. If not,check the company web site. Most of those machines use a 32/1 mix.
