are the 40hp models capable of using a 6ft bushhog mower? are they well built? any input will be helpful

40 pto hp is enough for a 6 foot rotary cutter. In really tough conditions you can just go a bit slower or move over a bit and take a smaller cut.

Is the Boomer 40 hp OR 40 pto hp???

My neighbor just bought a boomer. I think his is a 45 HP deisel. It's a real nice looking and working tractor. He got the hydro transmission. I was a little skeptical about the tranny but it sure works nice. He doesn't know a lot about tractors and bought it without the external hydraulic ports so he had to add them later. One problem he had was the PTO lever broke off! Believe it or not he was using the PTO on his finish mower. He said it was getting hard to move the lever from up position to the down postion. He said he kind of forced it up and down a few times and the mower did go up and down but the lever finally broke off. I couldn't believe it and took a look. The shaft went into a valve housing and was broken and pulled out of the housing. New Holland came and fixed it at his place.
