I have an old engine with cast iron carburetor and it developes rust sitting and has to be taken apart and cleaned.I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get it coated with porcelain or something similar?

I would bet the rust is coming from the tank not the carb. Cast iron does not develop "flake" rust like steel does. Clean the tank and add a filter.

Tank is clean as a whistle and have a see through inline filter plus sediment bowl under the tank. The carburetor developes rust though when it sits for an extended length of time, like through the winter.Have to take it apart and clean it.I need a coating on it.I was thinking about the stuff that you seal gas tanks with or ideally a hard porcelain type finish.

The trouble with a porcelain finish if you could find a source, is if it failed, i.e. popped off by rust, for example, the rock hard porcelain flake(s) would find their way into the engine with possibly catastrophic results.
Could you treat your gas with Marvel Mystery Oil or somesuch to prevent idle time rust? Might foul plugs more often but it's a thought...
...Or, remove the carb. in the off season and store it in a metal can in a heated area?

Maybe you could coat it with epoxy. I've repaired a carb. bowl and a brass float with it.

Good luck,
Dusty
