I work with Karcher washers at work all the time. They work good and are very dependable UNTIL some numb skull runs HOT water through them. Hot water kills the valves every time(Yes, they are plastic).

First time poster so bear with me. I was given a Karcher washer(gas) K 3300 G about 4 yrs ago...it was brand new used once. After using it once the pressure was gone. I took it to be repaired ($70), and it worked....once. It has sat in my garage staring at me since then. I have NEVER run hot water through this thing. Is there something that I can do repair wise to fix without taking it(again)to the shop. Help. Thanks.

Made in Germany. Not sure what model, but my sister made a lot of money with one.

Have a look at the Prosumer and better pressure washers. For a few more bucks you would have had an outstanding machine with cleaning power and durability. The premium axials will handle water up to 100F. The ceramic piston models will take what ever your home hot water heater will produce.

If you purchase a cheap machine and run hot water through it, yes it will fail. Most manuafctures do make a p.o.s. "price shopper" machine. There are customers who look only for the cheapest purchase price. Rather than considering cost per hour usage and cost of down time. Spend a little more for the Karecher with the CAT or Comet three piston brass and ceramic pump. It's like comparing paper dinner plates to Corel Dinner Ware.

I have a Karcher model, K 2.45, It"s made in Germany. Mine is elec. 1400 PSI. I prolly have two hundred hours on it and not a problem yet!!! I am very happy with it and the price was about $130.00. If you do get an electric model hook up the water hose and let the water run out of the hook up for the wand to get ALL the air out of the hose and pump before you start it up!!!
