OT Couple Questions about Tempo/Fly Control

Questions:

1) This is a wettable powder and the instructions say to mix a scoop with X amount of water. Problem is the package I have does not contain the scoop. Anyone know what ratio to mix?

2) In terms of fly control. I plan on buying a pull behind sprayer from TSC. Maybe 15-25 gallons to do our vineyard. They come with a broadcast sprayer on the back for fertilizer etc. Would it be helpful to spray my whole lawn with this stuff or would that be a waste of time?

3) Is this stuff safe to be spraying everywhere?

4) Any other fly control tips? We use the Quick Strikes, fly paper, those fly pots etc.

2 - Its VERY helpful to spray your entire lawn, especially if you don't like mosquitos. We spray every few weeks (more or less depending on the rains) and our yard is like an invisible wall, step out 2 steps and you are eaten alive, step back in and you're fine.

3 - Yes - it's very safe - It's labeled for use in food pantrys, nursing homes, home lawns, etc. Just avoid it straight, and if I remember correctly it will kill fish if the doseage is high enough.

4 - Our pest control is 4 fold. For immediate kill, we use a mosquito fogger. Quit acting, doesn't last long. We use Tempo for the lawn. In nearby standing water we use Mosquito dunks that attacks the larvae. In the garage I use an EcoLab timed sprayer for houseflys. Between all these we live almost free of these pests. Large lawn, total annual cost of all products combined, $75ish. ($35 tempo, $20 dunks, $20 Ecolab)
