My brother recently bought me a 35 piece router bit set that you have to take the bearins off and interchange them to the one you want to use. Apparently the paint job on these bits is garbage because there is paint down in the thread hole. My question is how do i clean these holes out so i can put teh bearing on all the bits?? do i need to tap it out or is there an easier way could i just burn it out without ruining the threads??

Soak them in brake fluid or spray the paint with EZ-Off and wash out the paint.

Will a small brass gun bore brush, .22 caliber perhaps, fit in the hole to clean out the paint?
