Need to know what will work as mold release for industrial bronze metel repair epoxy. Any info would be greatly appreciated....Thanks Keith

Thanks everyone for all the great input. I am using the Pam spray for the simple reason I have Pam on hand. Will try the others to see how each works, just for future reference. Pam worked great to start with...Will keep everyone posted...Again Thanks People...Keith

I've used pledge furniture cleaner with good results before...wax in a spray can with a lemmony fresh scent is basically all it is

Thanks Mark and Davis for the info, would never have thought of either wax or Pam. I was thinking of silicone spray, but wasn't sure if it would have the release properties. Again thanks..Keith

Silicone spray would work well, also. In the injection molding field, there are many different relase agents used. I have gone to the store to buy a can of PAM to use to spray a mold, if we ran out of release spray. The main thing to watch with the silicone would be to make sure it does not get on any surfaces that epoxy or paint needs to stick to. Silicone migrates everywhere.

PAM cooking spray works well. Just be careful not to get any of it on the areas you want the epoxy to adhere to...

Plain old candle wax will work with any epoxy.

I've used plain old gun grease a few times doing epoxy grout for machine bases. We usually bend up a galv sheetmetal form and smear on a light coat of EP2. DK
