I've got a 10Hp Koler engine on a portable welder, works great but uses some oil, I've been using 15-40, just wondering if I'd change oil type if it would do better, any thoughts?? Thanks.

I had to go with the girlfriend the other day to pick up a new mower....and reading in the manual for it...(Briggs and Stratton engine)....it said to use 30 wt. HD oil.....it said if you use multi viscosity oil (10w30)it might use some oil. Fred OH

If you run a stright weight oil in it that will slow down to oil burning, If its not to bad I'd run 30W if its bad I'd run 40W or 50W. Also if you don't run it much in the winter the 40W would be good
