OT: Help! Antifreeze spill!

I did an oil change on my 93 Corvette today, bled the brakes (hadn't done it since the driving school 2 weeks ago ) and was just tinkering around checking things out. Well, I thought that I had let the engine cool (sat for 30-40 min) and I decided to check my coolant level. Apparently the engine was still a little warm 'cause the coolant burst out and went everywhere. It was not really hot, just pressurized. So now I got a coolant mess in my engine bay. I cannot hose the engine down because (if you know anything about LT1 engines) the optispark distributer is very senesitive to moisture. Oh, and it sits behind the harmonic balancer right under the waterpump, so there's no covering it so that I can hose the engine down either.

Any idea how to clean the stuff out of all the nooks and crannies? I tried to wipe it up, but is there anything else I can do? There are still some anti-freeze puddles in areas that I just can't get to with a rag. Will it just evaporate? I just hope that it doesn't corrode any electrical connections.

Any advice is welcome and appreciated.

While sucking mix out, you might squirt some water and detergent directly into the spots with deposits.

I doubt you will get the engine clean enough to keep it from smelling like it has an antifreeze leak for at least a year.
