It is so annoying to ask for help on these forums and have some clown treat you like a fool and make some smart remark that is totally out of line and uncalled for. I sincerely thank all of you out there that are are really trying to help. As for the others, get a life.

Hey Richard, did you get your starter recocked. If you follow my direction you will get it. I just fixed one for a friend this morn for his 1954 NAA, his boy was playing with the starter. I really like this forum, sometimes I get to laughing so hard I almost fall off my chair.. And I go to the N board just to read Dells' Post..

Richard,
I frequent the yt forums, but don't post very often. What's seems to be the problem with the starter on your 2N? I am not an expert on anything, but have been able to repair a few things successfully. Maybe if you post it again, or send me an email myself or someone here could help you out with your problem.

In my postings, I hope I haven't offended anyone, but it sometimes does get humorous with the posts on this board and the others that are here. The majority of the people that frequent are great people and give good advice. From time to time you run accross one or two people that are a bit brash.

Jim

Richard, with free advice, sometimes you get just what you paid for. What someone thinks is a funny remark may get to someone who's thin-skinned!

If you want to be offended, go over to the Ford "N" board, and butt heads with Dell. He can come across as very abrasive, yet really does have a sense of humor, and is one of the most knowlegeable, helpfull people on the board.

Try to just let it bounce off. These are real nice people here. One thing is that a word spoken in haste here can not be taken back. I did it once. All most did it several times til I though a little. When I was new here many years ago I needed to know if a certain tractor 3point could lift a heavy 6 ft bush hog.I asked "how much can the 3 point lift" back came the answer "26 inches". Kind of Ped me off, cause I needed to know. Now, I kind of grin at it.

I want to thank all of you that responded to my post. I also think that I should lighten up myself. I should know by now that the people that frequent these sites mean well and don't mean any harm when a little humor is injected into their reply. I have gotten a LOT of very good, useful advice from THIS forum. Again thank you and be assured that ALL replies are welcome. But, you all know what happens when things arn't going well and you are at your wits end.....

I hope you were not offended.... There are a bunch of great people on this site. Sometimes, we (myself included) like to have a little fun , & post a smart-aleck answer. No harm is ever intended. I have visited this site for several years, & only encountered one really mean spirited person... He left of his own accord ... Folks that post here are probably some of the nicest , most knowledgable people you can find..... .
