I'd like to get out there and get my feet wet finding and rescuing tools from swap meets and flea markets. Only problem is that I don't know where any are... or where to find them... or where they might be listed. Any suggestions?
I'm near Ann Arbor, MI, FWIW.

TIA,
Ed

Well my son says, lets go look at a dump trailer.
Dump trailer was junk, but Bob died and Bob was a very neat pack rat.

In a bag, Old Starret 2" to 3" Mic, 3" to 4" Mic, 1-1/2" dial indicater with mag base, 2-center finders (new), $40

Two portapowers, 2ton, 4ton with 6 heads, 5"x24" hydraulic cyl (new), $60

6" Eaton bench vise, $20

Makita screw gun (used twice), 1-1/4" Air brad nailer, 2 chain vise grips (new in package), $40

7- 3/4" pipe clamps with pipe, $20

4ton hand winch, the old heavy style with 50' 3/8" cable, $10

80lbs of 6011, 7018, 308L, 309L $20, I missed the Miller Tig welder and Bobcat machines. Sold last year for a $1000, looked like new.

22 commerical units, 36"wide x 18" deep x 7ft-6" steel storage shelves with 5 steel shelves each unit, $150

1000lbs of misc new steel, $50

I just had to tell someone as I don't get this lucky. I felt bad at first as Bob's wife was just getting tired of all the "stuff", till she told me they owned 15 homes out of 50 total homes in the block.

Ok, Ok, Ok, enough already. Ha Ha Ha Ha. It's amazing how some people fall into stuff like that everyday in everything that they do, and think nothing of it. Then again, there are folks like yourself, or even me that seemingly never find those kinds of deals, and then maybe one day, just one day, it happens and we beam from ear to ear, and folks think we're either nuts or just plain simple.

Good stuff there T_Bone. I'd still be braggin about the cylinder for that price. Don't take much to make me happy, so long as it's the right thing and works - don't have to even be a great deal, and you got a great deal. Congrats.

Mark

There is one every weekend in Huron Township at Middlebelt and Sibley (It is about 3 miles south of I-94 on Middlebelt) They run Saturday and Sundays. I have only been there once, but my son and his buddy continually go there and come back with tools.
