I am in need of a reference book or manual to help figure water flow (Mainly stormwater) through different size pipes. Also data such as gallons of water per acre inch of water and other similar data. Any suggestions? There must be something similar to "Machinists Handbook" for this kind of information! Thanks in advance.
Andy

One acre is 43,560 square feet.
One acre foot is 43,560 cubic feet.
One acre inch is 1/12 of 43,560 cu. ft. = 3630 cu. ft.
One cubic foot is 7.49 gallons. 7.49 x 3630 = 27,188.7 gallons, approximately. I think.

Andy: I'll second the vote for Mark's--as a mechanical engineer, I wouldn't be without it. If you're looking for conversions factors, there's plenty of websites dedicated to these, just Google up "conversion chart" and start reading.

Marks' Standard Handbook for Mechanical Engineers has all kinds of good stuff like that in it.
