Mac not oiling chain

I bought a McCulloch MS1838AV at an auction yesterday. Built Sept. 2003. It looks like brand new. Runs great but doesn't oil the chain. I took off the bar and cleaned it just to make sure. Emptied the tank. Oil was clean. Fished out the oil line, the filter on the end was clean. I even tried blowing air in the tank while the saw was running, trying to prime the pump. Nothing works. Now what do I do?

Use the thumb lever a lot. That's what I have to do with my Macs. None of them will auto pump the chain oil.

No thumb lever on it. It's auto oiler or nothing. In my case it's just nothing.
