Pressure Washer Problem - Low Pressure

I have a 2.5GPM pressure washer with Honda 5Hp motor and DeVillbiss pump. I turned it on to use and it worked for 1 min then the pressure quit and only sprays mist. I took everything off that I could to check for something clogging it and found nothing. Im not sure how i would tell if the pistions in the pump are bad but they looked fine to me. The rubber seals around the pistons are fine too. i checked the pressure adjustment and was never fiddled with. I am thinking about buying a new gun/wand and trying that.

I had a similar problem with my pressure washer -- turned out the valve in the wand wasn't opening fully. Had to make a shim to fit between the trigger lever and the plunger operating the valve.

do you have a screen filter in were you hook to water that is pluged.Do the seals move in the plungers very easy there should be some resistest when you try to push them in and out.Do you have a soap injector that is sucking to much air?The unloader could be the broblem to i wood sy the seals ar the one.Could be a air leak in one of the fitting some where,does it hook to a hydrant or does it suck the water out of a tank?

The screen is clean. What seals are you talking about? Are the seals in the aluminum body or the brass body where the pressure adjustment is located? I checked the soap inlet for sucking air already. It hooks right to a hose.

does it have the wand that you pull out for soap..if it does try it with it pulled out then keep trigger pulled and just pull back the soap end for pressure...mine pulls this sometime...have nice day may god bless
