My 15/16 chrome Snap on bit me today. I was working in the yard and the dam chrome split and sliced my finger wide open. I have had my wrenches over 15 yrs without any trouble. I do not work in a maintenance shop anymore and do not have a dealer. I do not abuse my tools at all and i'm kind of P.O. that this would happen. I needed 6 stiches to get her to stop bleeding.

Never been hurt like you from that, but yes, it's one of the nice features of the chrome finishes.

Now I have been hurt because the chrome wrench was all nice and smooth and slipery. That's my main reason for not liking the chrome finishes. I want grip!

That's exactly why I bought all industrial finish when I did the Snap-On thing. All the guys laughed at me because my tools weren't all shiny chrome, but they can't peel! Hope your hand heals well.

if you stop in a local automotive shop you should be able to get a phone number of a local dealer, and just because it says snap-on doesn't mean it won't ever break, just bad luck on your part. i was tightening bolts on my disc one time and and my breaker bar broke. needless to say the disc blades didn't feel so good buried in my back! i feel your pain!
