Hi all- the windshield wiper lever on my 88 chevy blazer is stripped. I disassembled the column and see that the metal lever has nothing left to "grab" in order to turn on. AS a quick fix I installed a "flip" or toggle switch on the dash, wired to the power wire at the wiper moter in the engine compartment. Works but i only get one speed. Is there an after market switch that would allow for a delay?? If so what would i be looking for? Something I can get at local NAPA or similar store??Please bear in mind that Im not an electrical engineer type so I really dont know what will or will not work.. thanks in advance

Why don't you replace the broken part and keep it original?

Might try autozone, that switch from a dealer will knock the socks off of 50 bucks. (if they are nice) Probably get a salvage one from a yard someplace for 10 bucks. That swx probably will fit a half dozen GM trucks.

I've seen them, a good parts store should have them or be able to get them. But now days a lot of parts stores use young kids that if they can't find it in the computer there lost so it may take a little looking around to find that set up
