Flashback Arrestors

Question for the welding guys. I want to put flashback arresters on my new torch outfit. Something I never had on the old setup but I'm told it's safer and I can see that. But is it best to have them on the torch or the regulator? I see you can get either style. Which is better and or safer?

Thanks for the advise,
Digger

Digger, Between the torch and the hose. Glad to see that more torch people are using all of the safety equip they can. Smart move.

Larry, I put them as close to the fire end as possible. That way when the torch flashes back, there is no fuel to burn!
