I got a quote for 2 concrete ribbons under shed doors-1 15foot overhead and 1 30ft slider. Plan is to go down below frost line to eliminate any heaving.

Shed floor is now gravel, and area around door keeps getting mashed and open. The 1/2 of the shed by the overhead door will eventually be all concrete but I don't see that in my budget for the next few years-so want to get it sealed a little tighter.

Labor and materials was quoted at $2,200.
Does that seem about right to you fellas? I was expecting something along the lines of $1,000 but really have no idea.

Problem is, a small job but lots of digging, forming, etc. He's gotta drag all his equipment over, probably spend as much time in travel & set-up compared to actually working.

You would get a better deal doing the whole job at once, but I _do_ understand the budget deal.

I put those footers under my overhead doors, then pour my floor right up to them later on. It takes alot of time to form them up. I do them myself.I think yours will take alot of concrete. Is thier price about half materials and half labor ? That may not be out of line. When I tried to get quotes for my footers they thought I was nuts they say we never do them like that. I have had buildings done other ways and I'll only use the footers under the doors now as it keeps everything from shifting and breaking.

HI, It depends what they are gonna do for ya. If the are gonna dig it out and pour a small footing and form and pour a wall on that four feet high and back fill it for you ,That price is fair. If they are gonna just trench a hole from side to side and pour it full of concrete the price is very high. my .02
