Painting Question

I just painted a J.D.320 green. Now I want to paint the yellow lines on the hood and cowling. I assume that I'll need to mask off the green area before I spray the yellow. How do I keep the masking tape from pulling off the green paint?
Your help and ideas are appreciated! Thanks; Tugboat

In addition to the good suggestions by "kimk", you may want to go to the forum on www.autobodystore.com. I've painted for 40 years and am learning a lot on their forum. Roger

You can mask and spray if you let the green paint cure. Do not mask w/ masking tape. Go to a good auto paint store and get some of the special very thin tape used just for this. You will get a sharper edge. Remove the tape before the yellow cures and the edge will look better. Option two : the make special pinstriping painters, sorta a thin roller w/ paint barrel. Check out www.eastwoodco.com . I have never used a mechanical pinstriper so I can't swear for or against them myself.
