IngersollRand air compressor

My brother in law dragged home a rather old trailer mounted IR air compressor. Stats:

IR 100-47
P-100 W-W model compressor
White gas engine model 61600x118

It puts out about 100 cuft. Once it gets running - sat for 2+ years.....

No manual.

So, what does he have? A quick look at the IR web site shows me nothing even close to this. Any info to find out about it?

Great for breaking concrete,builds pressure instantly.Dont chop the high voltage cables with that baby.From the old beat up looking ones Ive used they must last long.You could start a sandblasting business with that.Always tie wire the jackhammer end of the hose for safety.Thats if you are going to jackhammer.Even old its worth a good buck.

BiL is not the best for safety - want to explain the tie wire part a bit???? :) Anchor the hose with a wire so it doesn't whip around if it busts????

At the fittings on the large hose used to a jackhammer or whatever the fittings will twist together clockwise for connection then two little holes will line up together those holes are for tie wire.I think this is about 1" i.d. hose.The hose can pop off without the tie wire.Its hard for it to come off but if it has the tie wire it cant unbuckle itself.Not if the hose itself breaks just if the fittings twisted back apart.The tie wire prevents this.

Paul; What he means about tieing up the hose with a wire is that, when you put the chicago coupling together that links the hose to the equipment, there are matching holes on both fittings to run a wire through as a safety to keep the fittings from accidently separating

Yes if the hose breaks there wil be no fitting on the end to hurt you [as bad ]anyway.

Don"t know, but give them a call. I"ve bought two older electric IR compressors and they were very happy to assist me.
