Anyone used Suntuf panels (polycarbonite) sold at Home Depot for skylites. I have a post and beam barn to far out for electricity.Planning on putting on two 26" X 12'. Trying to avoid leaks Thanks for any Information and Help

I installed some clear panels from the steel roofing vender when I built a front porch eight years ago. I placed these panels in line with the front windows in the house so as to not make the house dark. The panels are just now starting to show some yellowing and loss of the surface sheen but I believe they will last many more years. I put them down over pt pine purlins and the panels show no sign of deterioration from the wood.
My barn, workshop has ridge cap of similar material, same vender, and it has been up 10 years, no problems. Don't know about Lowes or HD stuff.

Well I agree with Ohio Farmer. Plus, if you have any tress around it be black with sap in no time.

Not exactly related to your queston, but if you just need to have some light in there, Put up a couple 12v lights (RV's use them, looks like a standard 100w bulb but only uses 12 volts). Lawn mower battery and small/medium solor charger from Radio Shack on the side of the building. Nothing fancy & not the best for reading, but will keep ya from triping over stuff in the dark. I think it was something like $100 bucks when I did it 4 years back.

Don't put them in the roof, put them along and under the eve's they'll never leak under the eve, but in the roof in time they will leak
