I bought a concrete mixer at an auction last year. Not sure of the size of the tub, but I would say it is standard. What size of electric motor should I use on it? Also what size of pulley should I put on the motor so it turns at the proper speed? Thanks!!

Mike

There's one at the farm that's supposed to do two sacks at once. It's orange but it could be bright red considering the country or origin. It has a 1/3 hp motor.

I posted a photo of my mixer to Implement Photos under the title "cement mixer". It runs very well with a 1/2 hp, 1750 rpm motor.

From a look at the protective housing I would think the pulley is between 14 and 16". The other is likely about 2".

I'll try that another way.
