I see whitleyauction.com has a 2.5 MEGWATT generator up for auction. Allison GM turbine engine. If thats too big, they have a Kato 2500 KW detroit diesel one too. Some of the things out tax dollars payed for.

I could only think that you would need that 2.5Mega watt generator for a large manuf. plant or a large subdivision. I didnt click on the Whitney site but what are they asking for it?

2.5MW would be around 3,350 HP. Given mechanical and electrical losses, I'd expect about 4,000 HP from the engine
