Need some help please on painting rusty pipe. I have about 1400 feet of 4 rail pipe fence and I don't want to do this again for awhile. This is what I have been thinking:

OSPHO, Primer, Paint
or
OSPHO, Paint

Which should I do and what brand do you recommend?
Thanks very much.

The "Ospho" that I have heard of *is* a primer. It can be applied over rusty surfaces (as long as excess rust has been removed) and then paint applied when dry.

Check the instructions on the container to be sure, but I think two steps are sufficient (ospho, paint).

I am in the middle of a similar project, and ospho was highly recommended by a trusted source.
