I was in the shop cutting shorter some wrist pin bushing with that diamond toolholder as advertised in Home Shop Machinist.Works pretty good but cost $100.What do you pros think if you have tried it.It is somewhat costly.Would a real machinst use such an item??

Are you referring to a Carbide insert that has a corner that is PolyCrystalline Diamond ??

Hey Davis,Thanks for responding.No it holds a piece of regular high speed square lathe bit up on end so you are cutting off the end not the side.I will have to work on posting a picture.It comes with a holder to sharpen on the grinder.
