Yes . I think it"s good for carpenters who are always carrying great lenths of them around and need the light weight.
Around the evironment of a repair shop though you would do better with real rubber. Touch anything hot with that poly-hose and it"s melted pronto. The cheap stuff stocked at most places isn"t rubber.
You didn"t say what for. There are whip ends with a swivel/wobble end that make a tool much easier to handle in tight quarters. There are also male quick-couplers rhat swivel... or wobble that you can install on your tools.

The poly braid is gonna be the most flexible by a long shot down to a lower temp than the rubber is. Dad and I looked into it to put on the reels on our service trucks since their always used outside no matter what the temp, plus it's smaller in diameter wo we could get a little more on each real. The main thing I saw on the poly that I didn't like is that it seemed to be too easy to kink if it was pulled around something, like for instance getting caught under a tire/track while pulling it around on the ground. Then take into account that your gonna have to have the special fittings to repair it if it ever gets a hole in it. Finally the cost for what we wanted (1/2") was at least twice plus what a normal air hose was gonna run. In the end it just wasn't worth it for the little bit of extra flexibility it claimed to provide. We wound up going back with the standard type hose that came on them from the factory..(they are Realcraft reals) There are several different kinds of hose out there, your just gonna have to take everything your looking for into account, diameter, abrasion resistance, flexibility, useage temps, desired flow, etc and decide which one is gonna do everything your looking for, or worst case as many of them as possible. Good luck.

Rubber, no question about it.
