Putting up the gable end siding(happens to be Suntuff in this example) and am trying to find out how to join the roof top flashing that corners over the top and the siding. Assume the siding hides up under the flashing but how far, and in what manner to fasten it and the flashing? I want to do it right for no problems in the future. This is rafters on one end and truss on the other. Thanks for any help you can afford. Loren.
ps. just thought I'll go a get a picture so it'll be more plain to see.

On metal, we usually rivet the rake to the siding. I don't know if that SunTuff stuff will hold up to a rivet. You should call SunTuff to get their opinion.

Loren, my flashing went over the siding. it was the last thing put on. went over the roofing and siding. Our sheet metel was one piece, from edge of roof to ground. Put up end sheeting on then cut off at the angle of the trusses, after which put on the last sheet of roofing, then flashing.

Keith, did the screws on the top go throught the flashing AND the siding(I'd assume so)? I assume they also go through at the peak of the siding not the valley? With a backer under the siding? Thanks.
