The price is good for a Lincoln, but remember that when you walk out the door with your new welder you're on your own to deal with the manufacturers warranty, and if you buy the Sam's Club extended warranty it aint much better if you need it.

I got sucked in on a Whirlpool A/C and a Campbell & Hausfeld shop air compressor from Sam's Club.

If you can use the warranty papers to weld with for 2-3 months while they ship your welder to BF, Egypt to get the low bid contractor to repair it for you when it lays down then it might be ok for you.

I bought a new Lincoln just like you described last week for $291 at a farm supply store, I had to drive right past Sam's to pay more for it than Sam's gets.

To my opinion Sam's and Wal-Mart must only sell what some other retailer has rejected.

My warranty papers on the A/C did'nt cool at all, and the warranty papers on the air compressor would'nt run my impact wrenches.

I don't mean to rain on the parade, but Sam's Club has left $1900 worth of bad taste in my mouth.

I don't mind paying a little more to do business with full grown people that don't have spike top white walled haircuts and ear rings in their tongues, and the store will honor any warranty for products that they sell. At the farm store not one solitary person said HUH? while I was there, nor even called me dude.

I don't want to rain on your party but I hear that they are making welders with aluminum windings in them. The older welders will lift one up and say "it has alum. windings in it" and walk away. Now I don't know about this nor even if they're inferior to the copper wound ones, I just want you to be aware of it. No surprises! They also might be manufacturing them in China now and cutting down the cost that way. Any way you look at it, Lincoln would still warranty them. They are a good little welder. L8R----Fred OH

Good price. Buy it! Both mine cost me over $350.00 each.

Sounds like a deal to me. The ones I've seen are more than $300. Waranty should be the same, unless it is reconditioned. But, I think they only sell new stuff. Sams offers extended waranty on items.

Sounds cheap enough for an ac/dc I would thought they would run more than that. If you could buy several at 255 and sell all but one for 300 like bill in previous post you'd be light in yours !!
