Greetings! I just bought a Craftsman impact wrench off ebay. It looks just like an Ingersol Rand 2131 and I was assured that it was made by IG and just as good. Specs are the same as IG advertises. What do you guys think? Is the Craftsman good or did I make a mistake? I always appreciate getting other's opinions; I learn alot from you all. Thanks, Bill
P.S. It is new, still in the box; paid $125.

Hook it up to a 3/8 line.not a 1/4. if you hook it up to a 1/4 line you will have the pressure but not enought volume to run it to the maximum prformance with a 3/8 line you will have the pressure and the volume of air to runit good
ps .thay do make 3/8 quick connecter

Thanks for the advice Clay. I have always used 3/8" hose but with 1/4" quick connectors. Do you think that is important? Do you have any experience with the Craftsman wrench?? or the 2131??

Same gun, just with chrome plated hammer chamber. I've had the I-R gun about 2-3 years now and still love it. You'll find you won't even get your 3/4 inch impact gun out anymore with the removal torque of that Craftsman.

I debate that, my 1/2 crafstman is a good wrench and doesn't eat a lot of air, but for the heavy stuff (150 ft lbs) and up my 3/4 jet wrench will laugh at my craftsman. Here's a free tip that's worth what you paid for it; take your quick connect and take the guts out of it ( so it blows straight through) and see how much more grunt it give your air wrench, I think you'll be impressed. mike
