Miller mig welder help

I have an old Millermatic 200 thats giving me fits . The wire feed rollers are not turning,or if and when they do , it is very , very slow . They are direct drive , so can't see anywhere for slippage .Any ideas ? Thanks Bryan

Hi Bryan,

Undo the wire feed roll spring tension, then turn the wire feed speed rate up and down while observing the feed rolls.

If the feed rolls speed up and down then you have a bad contact tip or liner or both or the spring tension is set to tight on the wire spool. No rats nest on the wire spool?

If the feed rolls don't speed up or down then you need to trace down why. Bad rehostat, gear bind or drive motor.

All the above is true but what I would try first is take the side cover off the welder and blowing it out.Dust collects in the weirdest places and can cause grief as well.Fast try and maybe cheap fix.

Have sides off , blew everything off . With no wire ,feed rollers barely turn , Looks like T -Bone has me on the right track i hope .
