Both my batteries stopped taking a charge so I went a bought a new one (NOT CHEAP!). The new battery would also not take a charge. I bought a new charger and still all three batteries would not charge! The batteries measured about 1.2 volts. I took a cheap nicad 12 volt charger and put it on pins 1 and 3 for about an hour. They read 14 volts and would now take a full charge from BOTH milwaukee chargers. It seems if the batteries drop to low the Milwaukee charger will not try to charge them. Moral of story.... Don't run out and buy new batteries or charger without tring this first! Pins are: |Pin1 + | SPACE | PIN2 | PIN3 - |
Don't hook it up backwards.

don,

I just tossed 2 of these batteries last month because I figgered they were shot!

I've still got 3 more, and just ran out and plugged one in the way you describe. I'll let you know how it works!

Scott
