Does anyone know if this saw has an automatic chain oiler, and if so, if it has an adjustment to increase the oil flow. Also, where is the adjustment located. A friend brought this saw to me a couple of months ago. It runs well and has lots of power. I have been using the manual oiler. My thumb is getting tired. Thanks for your help.

If its an early 306 It is probably manual only. Take the bar and cover off and at idle watch for oil coming from the oiler hole. Chances are that if its an auto you will see some oil pumping. Oiler adjustment should be around the bar side area.

Actually, it is a 306A. I know where the oiler hole is. Some seems to seep out from time to time.
