I have posted some pictures of my new welding trailer for those that are interested;
Link
in the section titled dropbox. The pictures are listed under trlr1,2,3 etc. Read the trlr.txt file first for a description.

I would appreciate any comments and suggestions to help make it better. Welders are never without good ideas. :)
Thanks all!
Bud

I added an air compressor to my unit that runs off the 220 volt outlet on the welding machine. You could use a smaller 110 volt unit if you so choose. It adds a complete new dimension to the rig.

Hi Bud, nice looking rig you made but where's the Hot plate and beer cooler? hehe That's ok I don't drink!

When they were building the Eishineur(sp) Tunnel in Colorado they were having Oxygen cylinders take off and fly around the tunnel for no reason. Yes they were capped but what they said they found was the oxygen cylinders were being laid down at night and the valves were freezing, when the guys stood them up the next morning the valves would blow off because of the oxygen turning liquid over night, thus freezing the brass making it brittle. I didn't think too much of there findings but it did stop the problem so it had to be true to some degree.

Wow! Now that's a rig, very nicely done. I'd almost be afraid to take it on a job and scratch it! The only thing that I would add is a sunk-in-the-deck cylinder rack to carry the cylinders upright. I put together a little welding trailer for a greenhouse co. a few years ago and here's a pic. The cylinders were carried in front of the welder upright. There were grab hooks on each side and the cylinders were secured with a binder and transport chain. I put them in the middle of the trailer, where they would be least likely damaged in a collision.

That's a great job that you did also! I like the color. :)
I considered building reel racks for my leads, but with over 600ft of 1/0 cable, they would have been too heavy. I had reels before and I noticed that after a hard day of work my helpers would spool up the leads dragging $900 across the concrete. I just went for simple racks this time.
Again, great job!

Hey Bud, I am green with envy. Mine is an old Utility Truck Bed. Yours makes mine look shabby.

Hey Steve,
I wouldn't worry too much about that. As long as it does the job it was intended for, it's a useful rig. I just decided to build this while I am in my slow season here in Texas. I admit I did get a little carried away, but it was a fun project. Hopefully if anyone else is considering a project like this, they can get some ideas from mine and vise versa.
Have a great day!
Bud
