If the pump isn't a brass three piston Comet or better yet a CAT. It's a econo hobby unit with a very short service lift. Walk right on past. With a good pump you can feed it direct off the domestic hot water service and not have to mess and pay for the portable boiler. Even better with a water softener and a soap injector. A gas unit will give more cleaning power per $$$ spent. Go with 3000+ to 4500 psi or forever wish you had more grease and dirt cutting power. A 4500psi gas unit with soap addition and a Comet or CAT pump costs much less than a 2000psi electric with an attached boiler. And still have money left over if you upgrade your home/shop hot water heater and add a water softener.

I know there are several different brands out there but in my experience nothing beats a Hotsy. As for buying it we called the local distrubitor nd they brought it out, gave a demonstration and let us use it, and we made a decision from there. We've had one for 3 years now and haven't had any problems at all out of it. We've even ran it in the field using a generator and fed it through a filter with the water truck at a mine site where we were working and it performed flawlessly. Like I said in my opinion you can't beat a Hotsy.

Northern Tool is a good place to start looking. They have a pretty good selection of pressure washers and accessories.
