I have bought a portable sawmill, and at my age I am unable to lift the logs on the track, i am looking for plans for a lift or a site to look for them

take a dozer & make a cut next to a bank & set mill in there, so that when you skid logs up on the bank, its level or slightly downhill to the carriage. This makes a tremendous difference. If you truck logs in, build a set of skids to drop logs onto. It takes some work but the effort saved is well worth the doing.

How about pallet forks on your tractor's front end loader?
