IH 674 hydraulics don't work

I was driving my IH 674 when all of the hydraulics stopped working suddenly. The PTO, lift, and power steering all stopped working. The lift was already malfunctioning when this happened. If I tried to lift anything, the lift would raise all the way to the top position - I couldn't control this. If I lowered the implement, it would go all the way to the bottom position. So it would lift and lower , but I had no position control. Now it doesn't work at all, although the tractor runs OK. Any ideas as to what went wrong?

Did it make any noises? Are you in weather conditions where moisture could have froze and plugged up your filter. We had a 574 in the family and we had to change the filter before we had satisfactory operation one spring. It was O. K. when we put it away in the fall.

No, it was warm when it happened, so it couldn't have been caused by a freeze up.
