Hey guys, I am probably going to trade her off, but I need to know how to wire this beast up.I know it is 3phase, but the guy getting it (hopefully) has 3phase in his shop, but this machine has not been hooked up in several years, and whoever took it down didn't include the switch. All I have is the pressure switch, and the motor.I know I need some more stuff??Any help?? Thanks very much in advance.

You need a 3 phase motor starter with overloads (properly sized),possibly a control transformer (unless you use a full line voltage starter coil), a good disconnect switch with time delay fuses and a good electrician. The last component is the most critical. Wire groupings for the desired voltage should be on the motor or inside the wiring box. Depending on whether it's a 3,9 or 12 lead motor, and whether wye/delta/star wound it can get a bit complicated for the layman (i.e. dangerous) so leave it to a professional.

Thanks Roger, My brother is a GOOD electrician, I haven't asked him yet.He works maintinance at a factory. His specialty is 3phase stuff, but I didn't know what all I needed.I seen the grouping of the wires for the high or low voltage on the tag.I know my 325 has a magnetic starter setup on it, I just thought that this monster would have some thing similar. Thanks again for the input.
