Hi, I own a Blue Point 3/4 drive torque wrench I bought this tool 6 years ago. Last week, the ratchet head broke some tooth. I try to search for a spare part to fix the wrench. The dealer i have call, say me the part is no longer avaiable in Qubec Canada. Have you a Snap-On dealer or store, near you, where I can buy the part. May be in Ontario or Canada.Thank a lot!! No more Blue Point or Snap on Torque Wrenches for me. Been using them all my life, but everytime I send I torque wrench in, the parts are no longer available and they want to sell me another one.

We are required to send them in a minimum of once per year, so I have a minimum of two for each range from 1/4" to 3/4". It seems to take forever to get them back to.

We have a torque calibration tool at this new shop, and you"ll never beleive this, I have a $10 Sam"s club 1/2" drive torque wrench that I bought one time to use as a large, cheap ratchet.
Been through hell and back and abused like crazy.
Looks Identical to my Proto 1/2" drive and uses the same ratchet parts.

It calibrates perfectly and I know it"s 15 years old, been used with a cheater pipe and everything else.

My Older Proto"s are still going strong, and my Mac"s are doing well, and my big 3/4" drive Snap On aircraft wrenchs are doing good. But the 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4" Snap On Click type are JUNK, Mainly because Snap on discontinues parts every couple of years on them!!!!!

Bernie,Bernie,Bernie,For what one pays for snap-on,call snap-on headqiarters Canada, tell them to have your local dealer stop by your house or apt.and repair your torque wrench. This is why we paid so much for the tool to begin with.Snap-on should come to you and repair it.Of coures the local guy wont want to know you ,but call the main office thye will tell him to go fix your torque wrench at your location.

You night watch repairing them through Snap-Off. I had a Matco torque wrench reclibrated, don't sound difficult, took 3 weeks and almost $50.00 to get it done, and I don't think it was off anyway, bought it at a pawn shop and wanted to make sure it was right. for $100.00 give or take, I COULD HAVE GOTTON A NEW ONE FROM CRAFTSMAN. Look for a company on the net that does torque wrech repair and calibration and see about doing through them.
