I am in the market for a paint sprayer and need to know what kind of features are good to have. I have seen some with siphon feed (what ever that is), adjustable pattern size, air adjusting valve, etc. Thank you for your help!

Regards, Rick from Paso.

How often are you going to use it ? How big is your air supply ?
How much can you afford to pay ? Rick, these are just some of the questions that you need to know about when looking at spray guns. Usually the more the gun costs, the better the job it will do. In some parts of the USA you must have a certain kind of gun to meet state law. If you need more information please feel free to ask.

Frequency of use: rarely, repainting tractor parts and maybe beater truck parts. Air Supply: 5.8cfm @90psi 6.4cfm @ 40psi, little 20gal 4.5 portable.
Afford to pay: I'm pretty cheap. Would like to be able to do a job at least equivalent to a rattle can job, that's really all. Under $100.00.

I see some units that are siphon feed units, bleeder/non-bleeder types, adjustable pattern control, fluid control, internal/external mix, air pressure adjustment, pressure feed and HVLP? I guess I don't know what all of these terms mean and how they go to make the paint job better or easier to do. Thanks for your help!
