I bought a socket set from K-Mart some years ago.
BenchTop Brand. Tools advertised guaranteed forever (I assume like Craftsman). Recently, the flex-head 3/8" ratchet wrench broke. Does anyone know how to get the wrench replaced through the guarantee?

I don't think KMart even sells the Benchtop brand anymore (a very fine quality toolset as I am 66 years old a former mechanic and engineer and I have used just about everything and have been happiest with the benchtop line, except my grandsons keep losing sockets from the toolset) as I have been looking for replacement sockets, but all I can find online is Craftsman brand sold by them.

I have a friend that was taking them directly back to Kmart for exchange until they told him they couldn't break open the socket sets anymore and that he would have to do it by mail from now on. He didn't bother as he felt he had got his $25. worth by then and it wasn't worth the hassle. Thats what they hope everyone decides to do!

I"m not positively certain as to how you go about it but the one thing i can think to suggest is to go to your local kmart and look at a benchtop tool and see what the warranty says.
