Look in truck salvage yards plenty of electric trucks that have seen there better days and you should be able to find a decent pto winch there.

This is not what you asked (and I don't know how experienced you are), but personally I would just buck 'em into whatever length the tractor would handle and pull 'em out..... ...

Hi ric,

I'm with thurlow. Use some 3/8" wire rope and a snatch block and pull them out with the tractor.

If you want to lift the logs onto a trailer, use a tri-pod made from 3 logs with another snatch block.

For what your gonna be doing with it I'd go with the PTO powered winch. That way you can use the winch constantly without any major problems. If you wanted to go with the electric driven one you'd have to give your charging system a major upgrade, probably add an extra battery, etc and you'd probably still not get even close to having the consistent power to do what the PTO would give.
